When the audience last saw Kyle Barnes and his daughter, Amber, on Outcast they were getting some wicked stares from a group of the possessed at a nearby gas station. It may be looking grim, but we know Amber will stick around for a while.
Madeline McGraw, who plays Amber, has been promoted to series regular. Kyle and his daughter both share the gift, or curse, depending on how you look at it, of being able to expel demons from people. While the first season didn’t delve too deeply into the mythology of “the outcasts,” it’s clear they are important to the possessed’s plans.
Cinemax also announced that three new cast members will join season two of Outcast. M.C. Gainey will play Bob, a hermit with connections to the dark past of the city. Madelyn Deutch will play Dakota, a progressive Christian. Hoon Lee will play Dr. Kenneth Park, a surgeon who has it in for Kyle for unforeseen reasons.
The last episode of season 1 saw quite the upheaval in the small town of Rome. The good news for fans of the show is filming is already underway. Hopefully, we’ll see season 2 in early 2017 and get answers to Barnes’ importance to the possessed. Check out Cinemax’s official site here.
